I am delighted to be able to celebrate this coaching match between Jo Halliday and Birch Copse Primary School. From the moment I met Jo, I was in awe! Jo is a former secondary headteacher amongst other exceptional things and has so much experience in both education and coaching. Birch Copse is one of the lucky schools that Jo will be supporting with in-person pro bono coaching sessions. The response from the wellbeing lead, Katie, says it all! -

1.) Have in mind what you're able to offer. 2.) Arrange an call with the wellbeing lead from the school to introduce yourself. Let them know how you can match what they are looking for. Agree in-person meeting. 3.) At in person meeting, take all SUPPORT (see here) documents. School briefs you on child. Ensure school will cover usual parental agreements.  Agree meeting room, dates, other logistics and who the named adult is on day. Agree how you will keep them updated. Set first date. Happy coaching!

At Coaches in Kind, we love the philosophy of non-advisory coaching - that is, trusting in people to have all that they need within themselves in terms of answers. But... we also know that over thousands of years, human beings have found things that work for wellbeing, especially in the natural world. Which is why in addition to non-advisory coaches, we want to connect schools with coaches who use a blended approach and offer some mentoring/expertise. This enables children and young people (adults too!) to be introduced to strategies that support their wellbeing by people who are passionate and experienced. We look forward to hearing from you if you can help!
